1. Acquaintance to professions should be begun with the most evident types of activity. It is difficult to explain, for example, to the younger preschool child, than the insurance agent or the bank employee is engaged. And here the professions connected with direct production of various material values are perceived by the kid rather easily.
2. It is possible to begin acquaintance to professions at a dorechevy stage of development of the child. Considering together with the kid of the picture in the book or specially made cards, it is necessary to accompany them with simple short comments: "It is the cook. He makes a lunch". So the child will remember the words designating names of professions and also will learn to distinguish their representatives on appearance: the doctor carries a white dressing gown, and the worker – overalls and a helmet, etc.
3. During walks, trips, visits of shop and visits of various institutions it is necessary to draw the attention of the child to representatives of various professions who meet in everyday life. It both the seller of shop, and the bus driver, and the doctor in policlinic to which it came to reception, and builders who build the building on the neighboring street. Tell the child what is done by the met representative of a profession at present, assume, than he will be engaged then.
4. The experience got during observations it is possible and it is necessary to apply in games. Together with the kid play "shop", "hospital", let he will stay the cook, the builder, the driver. At first offer the kid ready game situations, prompt what actions need to be made, serving as the representative of any given profession. So, the doctor takes temperature and pressure, puts pricks, checks a condition of lungs of the patient. It will be quite good if parents acquire for the child special sets for similar games (a small suitcase with medical accessories, children's ware, sets of toy products and so forth).
5. As a rule, the child quickly remembers names of professions which representatives he faces every day. And here to explain as whom mom or dad works, maybe not always, especially if professional activity of parents is beyond his experience. Organize to the kid an excursion to the workplace if such opportunity is. Of course, it makes sense to do it when the child reached the advanced preschool age. 6. If there is an opportunity, ask other relatives or good acquaintances to organize an excursion for the kid. Of course, the visit to office will hardly inspire the little person, and here visit of the real industrial enterprise, printing houses, bakeries, etc. for certain will make an impression.
