At preschool age bases of behavior, moral values and character which in the future will reveal fully are formed. Therefore parents need to build up trusting relationship with the children and to prepare them for life in society.
Instruction
1. Begin education of preschool children with inoculation of the core moral values by it: concepts about kindness, compassion, friendship, respect for seniors, mutual assistance and the help. Read to children instructive verses and fairy tales where the good overcomes the evil. Play more often role-playing games which are learned cooperation and mutual aid.
2. Explain rules of polite behavior. The most important is a personal example if parents are tactful and polite, tell "thanks", "please", "excuse", then and the child will begin them to imitate and will quickly learn elementary rules of conduct.
3. Teach the child to discipline and independence. The kid has to understand accurately for himself that it is necessary to be responsible for all the words and acts sooner or later. Tell how it is necessary to behave in collective — so you will psychologically prepare the child for school. Children who went to kindergarten adapt to school life more simply. With house kids it is necessary to lead preparatory discussions.
4. Accustom the preschool child to work. Let the kid help you and in practice masters useful skills. Have patience, explain to the child as it is necessary to make something correctly. Show it several times until he understands — thus you pass on to it the experience. Over time charge to the child performance of simple homework.
5. At the age of 5-6 years children begin to ask to buy them a pet. Agree that the child himself will look after an animal or define in advance what obligations for care for the favourite completely will fall on the kid. Communication with animals teaches children to kindness, responsibility, friendship and compassion.
6. Tell the preschool child about safety rules. It is very important and will save the kid from many troubles or even the real trouble. Lead with him discussions about traffic regulations: in what place to cross the road that is designated by colors of the traffic light. Tell how it is correct to behave with strangers. Teach to use gas and electric devices. Full friendly and confidential communication with children will help you to avoid many problems in awkward age.
