Transportation of children on front seat of the car raises many questions and disputes. It agrees to ""Traffic regulations" "Paragraph 22.9 transportation of children to 12-year age in cars has to be made only with use of the special children's holding devices - children's car seats. The age, growth and the child's weight have a principal value here. These indicators divide children into groups, for each of which the devices for transportation are provided in the car. At the same time, even observance of all rules not always guarantees safety of the child in the car.
Instruction
1. Rules do not forbid to transport the child on front seat of the car in the chair corresponding to its age group. At the same time you remember that on back seat after all it is safer. Do not establish a chair in the front seat of a car, the equipped safety cushion at all. Though there is also no this point in rules, in the car there are always such cautions. At operation the pillow reveals with a speed more 300km/h and leaves bruises and bruises even on the adult's body. For the child it threatens with very serious injuries, up to a lethal outcome.
2. Children of zero group (up to 10 kg, since the birth to 6-9 months) should be transported on front seat in the car seat established against the course of the movement. It will provide big protection of the head, neck and child's back. The chair at the same time should be removed as it is possible further from the dashboard. It is necessary to transfer to the chair established in the direction of travel only on reaching the maximum provided weight when the top of the kid becomes above a car seat back.
3. The following group 1 unites children weighing from 9 to 18 kg and age from 9 months to 4 years. Such chairs are established in the direction of the car both on front, and on back seats.
4. Children of more advanced age get under groups 2 (from 15 to 25 kilograms - about from 4th to 6 years) and 3 (from 22 to 36 kilograms - age of 6-11 years). Car seats of these groups hold the child by means of regular seat belts of the car. Therefore it is necessary to watch closely that the belt correctly was located on the child's body: - the belt has to be hardly tense; - the diagonal belt surely has to pass through the middle of a shoulder, without touching the person and a neck; - the lower belt has to pass up to a breast, but not on a stomach.
5. Approximately according to the same scheme also other alternative holding devices, such as boosters and adapters for belts operate. For transportation of children on front seat it is recommended to use boosters with fastenings to the main sitting. Though rules it is not forbidden to use and other devices, all other devices do not give sufficient safety and are recommended only for application on back seats.
