Types of tests
Modern producers suggest to define pregnancy by three types of tests – the strips impregnated with a reactant on HGCh-hormone, jet tests for urine and tablet tests with two windows. Tests strips need to be lowered in the urine which is in advance collected in capacity. The result will already show the test for pregnancy 4-6 minutes later. Strips belong to the cheapest category of tests, but have a big error and high sensitivity to HGCh hormone.
The sensitivity of tests shows amount of HGCh hormone which increases at pregnancy therefore they show the most exact result only from the first day of a delay. To carry out the test about estimated day of arrival of monthly there is no sense.
Tablet tests are more expensive than tests strips, however they have low sensitivity to pregnancy hormone that does them more exact and qualitative. Tablet tests for pregnancy consist of two strips in one of which the pipette drips urine, and in another – emergence of result is expected. Jet tests are the most expensive and most effective as in their structure there is a special layer with blue particles which join HGCh hormone and show result a minute later. The good jet test will define pregnancy existence already a week later after conception.
Choice of the exact test for pregnancy
Not to be mistaken with the choice of such important goods, it is necessary to conform to several rules. First of all, upon purchase it is necessary to pay attention to its expiration date. The sensitivity of the test to HGCh hormone is lower (than it less), earlier the test for pregnancy will show those exact result. At a delay of menstruation it is quite possible to use the test strip or the tablet test as for reliable diagnostics in an organism there will already be enough HGCh hormone. To increase reliability of result, it is desirable to acquire several tests for pregnancy issued by different producers. You should not buy the cheapest tests from the unknown producer – they, most likely, can show inexact result or distort it. Also it is worth carrying out correctly the testings procedure on pregnancy, most precisely observing all instructions specified on packing of the acquired test. If after contact with urine the test shows one bright strip and almost imperceptible the second, it is hardly a test error, most likely, the woman is really pregnant.
