Work with street children can be divided into four stages. Each of them is directed to one common goal - to bring the child on social and acceptable Wednesday.

1. At the first stage of work with street children it is necessary to carry out the general diagnostics. For a start reveal the residence of children. Study the nature of life of children, reveal the number of constant children in group, find out age, sex. It is also necessary to reveal the leader of group as he will be an intermediary in communication with others. It is important to know whether the group of children is exposed to influence of any other adults. Definition of a way of earnings of children also is important.
2. Further it is necessary to carry out primary acquaintance. For such operation send to group of street children two people: social worker and psychologist. Their appearance has to be democratic not to emphasize a visual difference. It is necessary to begin communication during rest of children, being in their territory. In a conversation use neutral subjects.
3. The following step is direct assistance to children. Give them primary information on places of the free help, carry out possible sanitary actions. Depending on the available means carry out financial support (providing with medicines, food).
4. The last stage is maintenance of transition of the child from the street environment in social and acceptable. At this stage children most of all need psychological support. Carry out organizational work after the child's device to social institutions.
