"Cold" on lips at the child – nothing but manifestation of a virus of simple herpes. However frequent business is not limited to some lips: symptoms of herpes can affect mucous membranes of a mouth, an eye and genitals. Moreover, the etiology of such diseases as chicken pox, meningitis and encephalitis, is also connected with this virus.
Instruction
1. Do not try to find the wonderful vaccine against herpes – it so far, unfortunately, does not exist. As there are no effective methods of treatment of this artful disease also. Herpes can only be muffled, "preserved" for a while. Reconcile to the fact that time the herpes shown at your kid, will remain with it for the rest of life. At least, until immunologists and virologists do not find, at last, the means helping to cope with this illness.
2. For prevention of developing of a disease follow the rules of personal hygiene when feeding, bathing and games with the child. Do not allow the family even to approach the kid during the herpes recurrence (and it is a virus is at the vast majority of adults). If you noticed at yourself herpes symptoms, communicate with the kid, having only carefully washed up hands and having put on a gauze bandage. It is proved that infection can happen also in the airborne way.
3. To prevent emergence of symptoms of infection with primary herpes, do not allow the child to overheat or overcool, give it vitamins (in the form of syrups and a dragee, and in a "natural" look). Children of a year can give eleuterococcus tincture – on 1 drop for every year of age as the all-strengthening means.
4. If the kid is capricious in an unknown occasion, attentively look whether it has no he on a face or a body of rashes, and take necessary measures, having consulted with the expert. If the child already learned to speak and complains that at him sponges, eyes or a crotch itch, also immediately see a doctor.
5. Buy acyclovir (tablets), "Zovirax" (the same acyclovir, but in the form of cream) and other medicines appointed by the pediatrician. Attentively study the instruction as at the medicines helping at herpes there are a lot of side effects (nausea, diarrhea, a headache, spasms and even coma). Nevertheless, their application is shown to children up to 2 years: on 2.5 tablets, divided into 5 receptions during the day (acyclovir) or 0.5 tapes of cream ("Zovirax"), squeezed out from a tube (4 times a day). These medicines should be given within 5 days.
6. Consult with the specialist in an occasion of grass collecting which in a complex with other medicines can be given to the kid gradually too. However it is especially useful during manifestations of a virus of herpes juice of an aloe or kalanchoe which can grease sponges or even to allow to drink gradually. Dosage: about one year - 2.5 ml of juice, from 1 to 3 - 5 ml, from 3do 6 - 10 ml, from 6 to 9 - 15 ml, from 9 to 12 - 15-30 ml, and from 12 – 30-50 ml.
7. If the disease proceeds hard, the child chokes and/or he has a high temperature, call "Ambulance" and demand immediate hospitalization.
