By psychologists it is proved that hemispheres of a human brain work unequally: the right and left halves of a brain are responsible for different processes. Depending on what of hemispheres at the person is developed better, speak about prevalence of one of thinking types: abstract or concrete and figurative.

Persons with more developed left hemisphere are most capable to logical information processing, they are given abstract concepts easier, they more brightly expressed ability to languages and the exact sciences.
Pravopolusharnye people easier perceive images and symbols, they better developed imagination, as a rule, they choose creative professions. Complete perception of problems and life situations is peculiar to them.
Of course, there are no people at whom only one hemisphere of a brain is developed and at all the second does not work. It is possible to speak about prevalence of any given type of thinking.
The separate group is made by so-called ambidexters, i.e. people with equally well developed functions of both hemispheres.

It is considered that all lefthanders, i.e. people at whom the leading hand is left have "right-hand", or evident and figurative, thinking type which is also called art. Really, among representatives of creative professions of the lefthander meet much more often. They more expressed art, musical and other abilities. But also among right handed people there are also a lot of representatives of this type of thinking so such division will be not absolutely exact. However more often psychologists suggest the examinee to execute 4 exercises and, analyzing results, give more exact characteristic of type of thinking.
Test tasks for definitions of type of thinking
1. The examinee is offered to put fingers of hands in the lock and to look what thumb of a hand appeared from above. 2. Through an opening in the sheet of paper located at arm's length the examinee is offered to look at any subject which is in a distance, at first two eyes, and then serially right and left eye and to define what eye is closed when it seems that the subject was displaced. 3. The examinee hands on a breast in Napoleon's pose ask to put and watch what hand appeared from above. 4. The examinee is offered to applaud. Only small children clap, holding them in parallel each other. At adults one hand appears from above and strikes lower. Is defined what hand was top. Proceeding from the received results the conclusion what hemisphere at the person is the leader is drawn: if in the majority of tasks active is the right hand – the person treats logical type and if left – to art. By more detailed consideration of results it is possible to draw a conclusion on other features of the human person. Conducting researches, it is necessary to remember that in psychology there are no "good" or "bad" results. It is incorrect to think that "right-hand" people are "sillier" "left-side", and "left-side" are not capable to perception of fine. Each human person possesses a set of the, individual, only her inherent abilities and talents and, having defined them, can learn to use these abilities in the best way.
