Presence at the child of preschool age of good memory actually is the key to its successful training at school. To begin to develop memory of the child it is necessary since early childhood. But how to train memory of the kid? Of course, by means of a game!
Types of memory and their feature
Physiologically distinguish two types of memory: any and involuntary. And remembers information on the world around in what analyzer of people perceives, memory is divided into acoustical, visual, tactile (storing by means of touches), emotional and verbal and logical (storing of the speech and understanding of the meaning of what was said). All these processes are closely connected among themselves.
At children of preschool age the memory is only formed. All kids have knack for storing and involuntary memory which has short-term character, and here over formation of any storing it is possible and it is necessary to work. Good memory contributes further to harmonious personal development of the child.
Games for development of memory in the child
Major activity of the preschool child – a game. By means of game classes it is possible to develop memory of the child. The game "What as Sounds" perfectly will be suitable for a training of acoustical memory. Use any improvised objects publishing noise and various sounds. Listen together with the kid as any given subject sounds. Then suggest the child to close eyes and to define what subject you use.
It is possible to develop visual memory of the child by means of the game "What Did Not Become". A universal game, is suitable for children from three to six years. Take favourite children's toys and place them before the child. Let he will remember their arrangement. Then suggest the kid to close eyes and remove one or several toys. Having opened eyes, the child has to define what did not become. A game can be complicated, having suggested to remember color of objects, their exact arrangement or quantity.
It is possible to develop associative memory at the child by means of the game "What It Is Similar to". Show to the kid any subject from its environment. Suggest to call objects to which it is similar on color, a form, material and other features. It is possible to play this game everywhere: on walk, in shop, on a visit and even on distant trips. Besides memory formation, it contributes to the development of observation and enrichment of a speech stock of the child.
Books very much will be useful for development of acoustical memory of the child. Learning or repetition for parents of small fragments stimulate work of the departments of a brain which are responsible for formation of the speech and intelligence. Children of younger preschool age can suggest to remember in a row several words and to try to reproduce them. Also try to call a couple of words, and the child a way will draw the picture in which there will be these words. So besides a memory training you receive also preparation of a hand for the letter.
