For the child who practically since the birth is on artificial feeding very often there is a lock problem at which there is no chair within two-three days. In that case the pediatrician, as a rule, appoints to the kid a cleaning enema.
Instruction
1. To give an enema to the baby, you need to prepare the small rubber syringe in the people invited by "pear" with a soft tip, the container with boiled water which temperature has to be 23-25 degrees, an oilcloth, vaseline oil or children's cream.
2. Do not forget that before the procedure it is necessary to wash up and dry up hands carefully. Lay an oilcloth and a diaper on a firm surface then put the kid. Then let out all air from the syringe, gather in it an amount of water necessary to you and plentifully oil a tip or cream. To give an enema cleaning to the baby, you will need to gain about 25-30 ml of water, it is the volume of the smallest pear. Water has to be obligatory more cool body temperatures of the kid as it is not soaked up in intestines, and dilutes stool and promotes improvement of a vermicular movement.
3. It is better if the baby at this procedure lies on a back. Then you need to raise his legs up, to move apart buttocks and, previously having removed excess air from the syringe, to carefully enter a tip into a rectum. At first it should be directed to a navel, and then along a tailbone. Water from an enema needs to be squeezed out very slowly, otherwise the child can have quite unpleasant feelings. When all water is entered, very accurately pull out a tip from a rectum. Pear at the same time does not need to be unclenched, otherwise all water will be soaked up back.
4. That water managed to execute the functions, but did not pour out outside, squeeze buttocks of the baby a little, hold them in such situation several minutes. Then it is possible just to leave the child to lie on a back before emergence of a chair.
5. The cleaning enema needs to be applied only on doctor's orders. Frequent and its uncontrolled use is contraindicated as work of intestines can be strongly complicated. In that case locks which already torment the baby can become the habitual phenomenon.
