1. Choose the suitable room for the nursery. First of all, pay attention to a floor, walls and windows. In the room of the newborn it is desirable to do damp cleaning daily. Therefore it is the best of all to cover a floor in the children's room with a parquet or laminate. On the one hand - it can be washed often, with another - such floor will be rather heat-insulated that the kid could creep on it after a while. It is not recommended to put to the children's room a carpet with pile as in it dust gathers. Further, that the child could play on a floor, you can use the special children's developing rugs which can be erased either rubber or polyurethane foam coverings.
2. The nursery should not be too bright that nervous system of the child was not overstrained. It is the most correct to cover walls with washable paint of pastel tones.
3. Check whether windows are hermetically closed in the children's room. Cracks should not be that the draft was not created. On a window it is necessary to establish a mosquito grid and to hang up curtains if the window comes to sunny side of the house.
4. Think over what furniture you plan to use after the child's birth. If you are going to stack the kid on night sleep in an adult bed, and to rock to sleep it in a carriage on the balcony in the afternoon, then in the first year the crib can not be useful to you. If you want the kid from the first days to get used to sleep separately, choose a bed with the falling bottom or the removed wall that the child could sleep in this bed up to 3 years. It is better for average rigidity to choose a mattress. Thanks to sides and a canopy, the crib looks cozy, but a lot of dust gathers for them. Therefore if you do not plan them to erase several times a week, it is necessary to refuse such ornament.
5. The changing table is convenient to change clothes of the child in the first months of life and also to do it massage. However these manipulations can be carried out on any table or an adult bed with a rigid mattress. The dresser is also not obligatory purchase. It is possible to buy to the nursery a case in which all clothes of the baby and also necessary for care of accessory for it will be located.
6. Get a night lamp. Most of kids wakes up at night to eat. Bright light can finally wake the child. Therefore it is better to turn on the muffled light and to feed the kid half-asleep.
7. Mobiles, rattles and other toys will not be useful in the first 2-3 months of life of the child. It is possible to buy them at any time in any children's shop therefore there is no need to get them in advance.
8. Take care also of the place for the adult. Most of children in the first year of life cry if they do not see parents therefore you will spend much time in the nursery. Prepare for yourself a convenient chair in which to you will comfortably feed the kid.
