How to help the child to learn to put on

Many working mothers and fathers at the age of two-three years send the child to kindergarten. It is very desirable that to this age the kid was already able to put on independently.

Unfortunately, two-year-old children who only begin to put on independently often do everything very slowly and ineptly. Therefore the task of parents is in helping the child to learn to put on independently. Certainly, not all parents have enough patience to look at how the child a solid hour tries to put on himself a thing which adults dress in a minute. To learn to lace up boots or to button, the child needs to develop fine motor skills of hands constantly. And it is necessary for adults every time, helping the child to put on, explain all the actions – the more clear, the better. To help the child to learn to put on quickly and without hassle, begin with the most comfortable and common clothes. Ideally it have to be t-shirts and sweaters of simple breed, panties with a convenient fastener, jackets with a minimum of excess details. That the child learned to understand at once where the person of clothes and where – a wrong side, try to buy for him clothes with drawings. Footwear has to be simple and convenient, and a mouth on clothes – wide that the child coped with it without any problem. Fold a kidswear to the place available to the child. Think up the games meaning clothing or disguise, in playful way it is much easier for child to impart such skills. If the kid put on incorrectly, you should not criticize him at once – praise him for independence, and explain what he made not so. Show how it becomes correctly. Today there is a set of the developing toys which are intended for training of the child in skills of independent clothing (footwear lacing, fastening of buttons). It is possible to use such games, but it is possible to do also without them. The main thing – do not deprive of the child of support and be near to give advice or the hint.
