1. To explain to the child what is a shock syllable, you pronounce words lingeringly, "call" a word. For example, ma - and - and - ama, Ta-a-a-anya, Mi-and-and-isha. At the same time allocate a shock syllable, you can even nod or sit down. Then show what will be if to displace an accent: mama-a-a-a, Tanya - and - and - and-and, Mischa - and - and-and that the child felt a difference. Be trained on words familiar to the child, for example, on his name, a nickname of a pet, etc.
2. At first take simple words from two syllables and together with the child define on what syllable the accent, on the first or second falls. For kids just you pronounce words, for children is more senior write words on paper or a board. Pronouncing words, tap syllables, allocating with louder knock a shock syllable.
3. Explain to the child that for definition of a shock syllable it is not necessary to divide a word into syllables. Ask it to pronounce a word, stretching a shock syllable, but not dividing in parts. To the child is more senior explain that the accent can fall only on a vowel.
4. If there is an opportunity, use Zaytsev's cubes which differ from usual in the fact that contain not letters, but syllables. Put a word from several syllables, suggest the child to define shock and to put on it a cube with the drawn accent mark. Of course, help the child at first until he gathers enough experience.
5. Set to the child playful riddles, for example, who such hippopotamus or what is the hammer that the child learned "to play" an accent. Thanks to such cheerful trainings the child receives freedom to operate sounds which very much helps when reading words and the correct definition of an accent.
