Self-esteem - one of the most important qualities of the human person. And its formation begins in the childhood when the kid for the first time realizes in himself some advantages (talent, abilities to some activity). A basis of formation of self-esteem at children's age is the praise from parents.

1. Allow the child to join in any activity interesting to it. Through practice of tests and mistakes it will be able to find something close for itself(himself), to be implemented in communication with other people (both by adults, and children). The self-esteem consists of successful attempts to show the abilities in something. Give to the child an opportunity to work.
2. Observe the kid what turns out at him best of all? Usually he to seek to do it is constant. Perhaps, he likes to read. Buy to him the interesting, beautifully issued books. Let your kid will become the most erudite child at school. If he to aspire to sport - likes to run, play a ball, constantly competes with someone and likes to win - send him to sports section. 3. Maintain enthusiasm of children. If at the child something turned out once, remind him of it. Suggest to repeat result, thereby, developing its abilities. The child has to trust in the forces, and parents can help him with it, supporting his desire to develop.
4. Give to the child some small instructions. To press the button on the washing machine, to place plates on a table, to pour some milk to a cat, to help to look after the younger brother or the little sister. The feeling of the entrusted responsibility will help to strengthen self-esteem of the child.
5. Tell about achievements of the kid by the acquaintance, to relatives and the family. If your kid made a beautiful hand-made article - deliver it to the large room on the foreground. Let all coming see it and note its advantages. The kid has to understand that parents are proud of his achievements, it becomes an additional incentive for further actions and self-improvement.
6. Think up some big business together with the child. For example, a game in Indians. Discuss with the kid that needs to be made in order that a game took place. Divide all plan of works for stages: creation of suits, scenery, inventing of the plot of a game... After successful performance by the child of each stage you praise it. You do not hurry to help the child with everything and to make everything for him. Do not let to it to feel incompetent in something.
