The speech development of the preschool child occurs in several stages. It is considered that the seven-year-old child has to be able to state contents of the small text. At the same time both detailed retelling, and allocation of the main idea in 2-3 offers is required. If the preschool child is not able to retell the text, then he can be taught it on special classes either in kindergarten, or together with the specialist logopedist.

Instruction

1. At the first stage teach the child to understand the meaning of the read history and to answer questions on the main story line. Who the main acting character? What did he do? What from this turned out? What will discuss in more detail each training material, the bigger effect will bring those this stage for a further speech development of the child. It is possible to use this reception when reading fairy tales for the night. The fairy tale "with continuation" - good means in formation of skills of retelling. The next evening begin reading with a question: "Do you remember on what we stopped yesterday?". The child needs to be helped, to remind him the main events – in this case the skill will be quicker formed.

2. At the second stage you teach the child to reveal independently the main idea of history which gradually becomes complicated. If at the first lessons material contains the obvious uniform semantic line of succession of events "The grandfather planted turnip. – Turnip … grew", further the main plot "acquires" a set of details and additions which have not a direct bearing on a plot of the story and can confuse. The task at this stage is to teach to learn the main contents of the text of any degree of complexity and to compare him with the name of the story or the fairy tale.

3. At the third stage teach the child to retell the text by means of basic schemes. It is possible not to write the plan as it is often done by adults. There are enough mini-pictures in which semantic loading of a separate fragment of the text is capaciously displayed. At this stage it is possible to write out also some words which will be able to help the child not to get confused in development of a plot.

4. The last stage – free retelling of the text without support. Again we begin with fairy tales and stories simple, familiar to the kid. It is better to beat a situation, to ask the child to tell the fairy tale to mom, to rock to sleep the brother, etc. It is possible to stack dolls, telling them familiar from the earliest age of a story. Already closer to school you enter retelling as an independent type of activity into daily practice. Form at the child a habit after reading without fail to tell about what there was history. It is better to do it twice: right after reading and next day.
