Stomatologists quite often come up against a situation when parents do not find it necessary to treat caries of milk teeth, believing that they spontaneously will drop out soon. 1. Limit in the child's diet, and exclude absolutely sour juice and sacchariferous products from evening and night feedings. Consult the pediatrician, bearing in mind that progressing of caries, especially at defeat of all surfaces of several groups of teeth by it usually happens at children to the lowered immunity.
2. Choose clinic which specialists are capable to find individual approach to the child. In case the child has negative experience of treatment, it will be difficult for it to get rid of fear of the stomatologist.
3. Remember that in the first visit (if there is no twinge of toothache) the stomatologist, as a rule, carries out appklikatsionny therapy with use of the special solutions or gels containing calcium, phosphorus and fluorine, restoring mineral structure of teeth. As it is proved that the increased susceptibility of milk teeth to caries is caused by lower degree of a mineralization of dentine and enamel of these teeth. After remineralizing therapy the carious cavities are limited, and their edges are condensed. Before an initiation of treatment the doctor will carry out hygiene of an oral cavity, having removed all tooth deposits. Besides, in the same reception the doctor will show how it is correct to brush teeth, will give recomenkdation in a form and size of a toothbrush, on the child's food.
4. Know that after 2-3 sessions (approximately in 10-15 days) the remineralizing therapy, treatment of a carious cavity will be begun directly. The choice of a method of anesthesia will depend on behavior and the child's spirit, on expressiveness and depth of damage of tooth. In difficult cases the organization of treatment under the general anesthesia is possible. In the conditions of progressive dental clinics the method of treatment of carious defeat of tooth enamel without drill is applied. The essence of a method consists in treatment of the struck tooth tissue the special medicine pressurizing a surface, stopping development of putrefactive process. This method does not demand anesthesia and allows to keep tooth tissue.
