If you are going to send the child to the first class, then the teacher can ask you to write characteristic on the preschool child. Try to disclose in it its readiness for school, having reported about skills and abilities of the child. It is important to report about readiness of the preschool child to find mutual understanding with other children and with adults, teachers also.
Instruction
1. Enter a surname and the name of the preschool child at the beginning of characteristic.
2. Write year and the birthplace of the child.
3. If the child visited preschool institution, specify its number or the name. Do not forget to note from what age he attended kindergarten. If this establishment worked according to any experimental or profound program, surely emphasize this fact. For example, the program in this preschool institution could be based on the developing training, or the esthetic direction in educational process was looked through.
4. Write about what classes and subjects (in preparatory group) most of all were pleasant to your child. For example, he could be engaged with pleasure in reading or drawing.
5. If works (drawings, embroidery, appliques, etc.) were highly appreciated by the preschool child, for example, at exhibitions of various level (regional, city), then report about it.
6. Report what abilities your child already seized. For example, he knows the account to hundred or is able to read (fluently, on syllables), etc.
7. Write about what reviews of progress and behavior of your child were from tutors and also what recommendations were made to you rather further development and education of future school student.
8. Note features of behavior of the preschool child: whether he is sociable or constantly starts quarrels and fights whether he is assidious and is attentive, how long can concentrate attention on some one question whether it is capable to state consistently and competently the thoughts and to draw conclusions.
9. If the preschool child was engaged in any circles, sections, write about it, having specified their name and a type of activity (sport, drawing, dances, etc.).
10. Disclose enthusiasm of the child for some business. For example, he practises music at music school and at home, seized skill of playing some musical instrument or he well sings songs. If the preschool child already participated in competitions, concerts or festivals, write about it in characteristic.
11. Report whether future pupil had some temporary or constant instructions on the house and as he coped with them. Write also about whether he showed an initiative, for example, wishing to help mom or dad.
12. Describe how there took place communication of the preschool child with peers, younger companions. If the child is always open, ready to render the necessary help, is always friendly and affable, surely emphasize this positive side of his character.
