Chicken pox belongs to infectious diseases. The causative agent of smallpox is the virus with which it is possible to be infected only by contact with already sick person. The virus is transmitted in the airborne way through cough and sneezing. Children aged up to 10 years are the most susceptible to a virus.
Instruction
1. The incubation period of chickenpox lasts from 10 to 20 days. The first symptoms of smallpox are during this time shown. Treat them: - temperature increase of a body; - rashes on skin from small imperceptible spots to watery bubbles to the middle of a disease; - skin itch. Especially actively there is infection in two days prior to emergence of bubbles and within the next week.
2. As soon as you noticed the first small specks, call the children's doctor who will help you to diagnose a disease.
3. If the diagnosis of chickenpox was confirmed, report about it in school or kindergarten that the personnel knew about a disease. In child care facilities children are ill collectively, and the administration of schools or gardens has to know statistics of sick children to make the decision on a quarantine.
4. Isolate the sick child from other children and family members. Even if they already had chickenpox, some viruses can cause a repeated disease which, as a rule, proceeds with complications in an organism. Chickenpox is especially dangerous to pregnant women. At communication with the sick child put on a gauze bandage and do not kiss the child.
5. If the child is tormented by a severe itch, give it antihistaminic medicines. To kids put on cotton mittens hands - rashes on skin cannot be combed at all. It can lead to further spread of an infection. And, above all, hems which can pass then into scars can be formed.
6. Process bubbles brilliant green. It is necessary that they dried up quicker and did not extend to free sites of skin. It is possible to grease sores with camomile tincture. On one liter of water add one glass of tincture. Such rubdowns can replace also full bathing. In the period of a disease it is impossible to bathe the child that bubbles did not become wet.
