In spite of the fact that modern life dispels many legends on influence of mystical rituals, spells, signs and to that similar things, superstitious people died less. The most widespread national superstitions about children
It is considered that children are more vulnerable to the forces of evil therefore everything that is connected with them, is followed by various bans and superstitions.
1. In the first 40 days after the child's birth categorically it is impossible to show anybody, except close relatives. It is connected with the fact that during this period it can be maleficiated. Even if the person not superstitious, nevertheless sense in this sign is as the newborn baby in the first weeks of the life is most susceptible to various infections therefore contacts with a large number of people during this period are not necessary to it.
2. About a year of the child it is impossible to bring to a mirror - will miss the happiness. At our ancestors a lot of mystical in general was connected with mirrors therefore this superstition is absolutely unsurprising. To trust or not - business individual, but psychologists have in this respect the look. They consider that, on the contrary, it is useful for child to consider himself in a mirror, it favorably affects development.
3. The child cannot be bathed that day in which he was born. This superstition is known to much, but when the kid appears, it, as a rule, is just forgotten.
4. It is impossible to cut the child about one year as it can result in poverty and a tugoumiya. This sign, perhaps, the most widespread. And many parents, even without being superstitious, the first time cut the child in a year. It already became rather a custom, than a sign.
5. Before childbirth it is impossible to buy clothes for future child. In ancient times was considered that if the clothes are bought, and the child was not born yet, then it will belong to the forces of evil and to the child will not get any more. Presently, of course, everything is much more simply. And if to get nothing for the kid in advance, then after arrival from maternity hospital it will be necessary to find time for a campaign behind purchase of clothes and other necessary things for the child instead of enjoying the new situation. And before getting to maternity hospital, for certain, physicians will ask to give with themselves pair of a romper suit, baby's undershirts and other things initially. Therefore anyway in advance it is necessary to buy something all the same.
It is possible to trust, it is possible not to trust in national signs about children, but they have full authority for existence and are designed for the audience. Our ancestors trusted, many trust also now. Well it or is bad, it is impossible to tell unambiguously as this subject has a set of opinions and all of them are different. The main thing is not to belong to superstitions too seriously. It is better to remember that any thoughts materialize therefore it is necessary to think only of good!
