Tests – the most available and fast way of definition of pregnancy. They are convenient, first of all, that the woman can learn about the state houses, independently, to the address to the doctor.
Actually, using the test, the woman does the analysis on contents in an organism of HG (HGCh) hormone – a horionichesky gonadotrophin of the person. This hormone is produced in an organism if there was a fertilization of an ovum. It blocks a possibility of approach of new pregnancy. That is why in an organism of the woman there cannot be "double" pregnancy with different terms.
This hormone contains both in blood, and in the woman's urine. In vitro do blood test on definition of presence at HGCh organism. House tests in the majority allow to determine the content of this hormone in urine.
Degree of sensitivity of tests
Tests for independent definition of pregnancy happen various degree of sensitivity, i.e. they are capable to define the maintenance of HG in urine from the 10th honey in 1 ml or from the 25th honey in 1 ml of urine respectively. It is clear, that the first tests are more exact, than the second. The sensitivity of the test is specified on packing. However it is incorrect to think that more sensitive tests are capable to define pregnancy practically right after its approach. Anyway, it will occur not earlier, than for 14 day after conception. Tests show usually reliable result if the periods did not come in time or from the first day of its delay.
Types of tests
Strips. This type of the test is cheapest and widespread. It is simple to apply it: it is enough to urinate in net capacity, to lower in urine the test to specified risks, to wait 15 seconds, to take and in 4 minutes to compare to a sample on the label: if two strips are clearly visible – pregnancy occurred if only one – the woman is not pregnant. Tablet. On the method of application they are similar to tests strips: urine is also collected, and then the pipette placed on a special window of the test. The result is visible in 5 minutes – the same strips, one or two – depending on that, there occurred pregnancy or not. They look more esthetically, and many women planning the kid use them to leave the test in family archive as a lovely relic. Jet. They are more convenient, than two previous views since for diagnostics of pregnancy it is enough to urinate directly on the test. The result will be visible in several seconds. Electronic. These tests are rather expensive, but as a result of their application the woman receives the answer to a board "is pregnant" or "is not pregnant", but does not suffer, trying to make out the second strip and to measure degree of its intensity by eye.
That the result was more precisely
Tests for pregnancy are rather reliable and allow to reveal approach of pregnancy in 95-99% of cases. But to be sure of result, the woman needs to follow several rules of their use: - To attentively study packing of the test and to check the term of its validity. - To carry out the analysis in the morning when concentration of HGCh in urine is highest. - To strictly follow the instruction for application of the test. - Not to hold testing earlier, than for the 17th day of a cycle – it is useless and will yield obviously incorrect result.
