Winter vacation – a good occasion to spend more time with the child, to realize some old ideas to which were too busy within academic year. Interestingly to organize rest and to occupy the child, you need only a little imagination.
Entertainments in the fresh air
In the winter in the fresh air it is possible to organize a lot of entertainments in which not only children, but also parents can take part. On the first place in cold season, of course, skating and skis. These sports well develop endurance and dexterity. You can even organize small competitions to symbolical prizes.
Perfectly it is possible to spend time in the winter and in the forest. You can go there on skis or seize with yourself the sledge if in the forest there is a place for rolling from the hill. Collect with yourself also sandwiches, cookies and hot tea in a thermos – at the child the appetite in the fresh air will surely clear up.
In the forest you will also be able to play young pathfinders. Draw the attention of the child to traces of animals and birds and try to identify them by means of the encyclopedia or the specialized websites. Let your child will dream up about what the animal did – hunted, ran away, played, etc. In snow winter near the house it is possible to build the wonderful hill, to stage a contest on the funniest snowman or to build the real fortress. Not only your children, but also their friends can take part in these entertainments. Collect at yourself in the yard the cheerful company and perfectly spend time behind a game in snowballs! After New year it is possible to organize the game "12 notes" for children. In advance walk along a route and hide notes with the description of places where they need to be looked for. And in the last describe a hiding place where Father Frost hid gifts for children.
House entertainments
In the winter weather not always allows to go for a walk. In that case you will be helped out various board games, puzzles, etc. Teach the child to a game in checkers or chess – these intellectual games not only are interesting, but also well develop logical thinking that, undoubtedly, it is useful to the child at school. The girl can be borrowed with knitting, beadwork or embroidery, the boy – burning out, assembly of models, etc. Construct a feeding trough together with the child – it can be established in the forest during walk and to visit periodically for replenishment of stocks of a forage. Involve the child in preparation by New year. Children very much like to decorate a New Year tree. Give to your kid an opportunity to decorate a fir-tree to the taste, and you for certain will have it the most creative. If there is no wish to stay at home, and weather does not dispose to walk, you can go with the child to an exhibition, in planetarium, theater, circus. Such leisure not only is pleasant, but also is useful to development of an outlook. Generally: the main thing is not to be lazy, and your winter vacation will be remembered for a long time!
