Whether it is possible to trust intuitions always

The intuition which is called sometimes the sixth sense can become both the faithful assistant in life, and very bad adviser. There is a set of the councils devoted to volume how to trust the intuition, but whether always it needs to be done?

According to dictionary definition, the intuition represents an irrational way of comprehension of the truth. "Irrational" is understood as a way of search of the truth which is based not on the analysis of the available data, and is based on presentiments, imagination, ability to anticipation. However, in no small measure intuitive thinking relies on experience and knowledge therefore to it it is impossible to treat as something ephemeral and unnecessary. After all, many well-known discoveries were made exactly thanks to an intuition. For example, opening of the periodic law by Dmitry Mendeleyev is among such opening.

Intuitively made decisions can be right in the same degree, as rational, however if analytical thinking needs creation of relationships of cause and effect, generalization and judgment of the available data, then the intuition allows to avoid reasonings of this sort. From outside can seem that intuitive thinking represents decision-making at random, but actually the person with the developed intuition carries out absolutely not smaller cogitative work, than the analyst, just most part of this mental activity occurs at the subconscious level.

As for whether it is worth trusting the intuition unconditionally, the answer to this question in no small measure depends on your type of thinking. If to you to liking to come to the truth by reasonings and proofs, then, trying to trust entirely intuitions, you, most likely, will be mistaken moreover and will have a certain stress because that you will make the choice contradicting your logic.

On the other hand, if you the decisions made by you without reflections, as a rule, are the most faithful and correct, then intuitive thinking needs to be developed and used as often as possible, trying to trust it. However it should be taken into account that as the intuition in no small measure is result of the subconscious analysis of the accumulated experience, you should not make recklessly the intuitive decisions concerning the phenomena unknown to you and spheres of life. It is possible to develop an intuition by means of various trainings and also accumulating experience in various spheres of activity. Unfortunately, the majority of similar trainings are rather exercises on development of a positive view of the world and formation of "providchesky abilities". In no small measure such trainings are just the auto-suggestion sessions having a little general with intuitive thinking. Strictly speaking, the only scientifically proved way of development of intuitive thinking is increase in volume of the accumulated experience and knowledge therefore if you want to develop in yourself an intuition, then it is worth being engaged in studying new information in the areas of activity interesting you.
