"Yandex.Disk" is a so-called cloud storage of data. Files in it are stored in the "cloud" representing the virtual server from several servers deleted from each other. Thanks to it the possibility of the loss of information which is stored on "Yandex.Disk" is almost excluded.
Since launch in April, 2012 "Yandex.Disk" worked behind closed doors: the one who left the request for receiving the place for data storage and received "инвайт" could only become its user. During this time the invitation was received by about 400,000 users. Since September, 2012 the access is open for all. Each new user receives 10 GB for storage of the files and can increase this volume at the expense of the invitation of new visitors.
Access to a file store can be got through mail on Yandex, using the application on the computer or the web interface of "Yandex.Disk". Disk space is free. You can load files separately there or at once move with the whole folder. Information will be stored to those there, a time so far you do not delete it. During the load data are checked by an antivirus of Dr. Web. Files in your folder on "Yandex.Disk" are always synchronized: if you made any changes in them, then they will be reflected in the web interface or at access through other computers.
It is rather convenient to use service from the computer. For access to it it is enough to install the special client program. It will create the folder on your computer, and files placed in it will be stored in "cloud".
Use of the data storage is possible also by means of mobile devices. Recently in Google Play and App Store the Yandex.Disk application for Android and iOS became available for downloading. After its installation and authorization on a resource it will be possible to browse the folders stored on the server on the phone or to send there files.
Any information stored by "Yandex.Disk" can share with other users. For this purpose at first it is necessary to resolve a public access to files. Then the user will be able to download data at the link given by you. The system will ask to enter the simple 6-unit digital code from the picture, and if it is entered correctly, in several seconds the loading will begin.
