They are automatically found by a system: if you have many mutual friends or you studied in parallel groups, then such acquaintance will appear in the list of potential friends.
3. You see the interesting person of VKontakte, on my world, Schoolmates, Facebook, etc. Do you well know it or only want to get acquainted? The social network promotes communication! Find the Add as a Friend function. The corresponding button usually is located near the photo of the user ("avatar"). Click on "Add as a friend". Your acquaintance will receive the notification on desire to make friends with it. He will need only to make a choice, to confirm your friendship or not.
