Adding of any website in friends – one of ways of involvement of new visitors on the website. At "friendship" with other website you undertake to add the reference or a banner to the friendly website.
Instruction
1. For a start find the website with which you want "be on friendly terms" in network. Look for the website similar in popularity and attendance to yours, it should be the site of the same subject, as yours, or close to it.
2. Further write to the owner of the website about intention to exchange links (a contact information is usually specified at the bottom of the page). After affirmative answer place the link or a banner of the friendly website by yourself on the homepage or in the separate menu "Friends of the site".
3. How to place a banner or the link on a normal HTML page: pass into a website root through cPanel of your hosting (or through FTP). Open for index.html through the editor, find that place where the link or a banner will hang in the document. Insert there the code which the owner of other website gave you (it or the picture with the link, or just the link).
4. To put a banner or the link to other website via the Instant CMS engine, enter in the administrator panel, add a new banner ("Components-> Banners-> to Add a banner"). Enter its name, insert the link to it, select a position where the banner will be displayed and load the picture. Click "Save". If it is necessary to install the link, but not a banner, then do not load the picture but only insert the link to the website into the respective field.
5. Placement of the link to the friendly website via the Joomla engine it is similar to method for Instant CMS: enter in the administrator panel, create new category (for example, "Banners"). Create the client (it is the link to that website with which you cooperate), assign to him the created category.
6. Create a new banner ("Components-> Banners-> Banners"). Click "plus", enter all necessary data (name, the code of the picture, the link to transition, etc.). Press the Save button.
7. Come into "Expansions-> Modules", create the new module. Enter data, select the client and category of a banner. Save changes and check result.
