For access to certain resources it is accepted to use proxy servers. Sometimes setup of own server allows to get access to Internet resources, using for this purpose a local area network.
Instruction
1. If your computer is already connected to the Internet, but you need to configure your browser for use of the proxy servers, then execute independently this process. When using the Opera web browser click the Ctrl and F12 keyboard shortcut after its start. Select the Expanded tab in the opened menu.
2. Find in the left column of the menu "Network" and open it. Click "Proxy servers", located in the top part of the appeared window. Activate the Configure Proxy Servers Manually function, having selected a checkbox near the corresponding inscription. Now select protocols which need to be used for Internet access via the proxy server. Enter the IP address of the server and specify port for connection to it. Click "Ok" and restart the Opera program.
3. If you prefers to use for Internet access the Mozilla Firefox program, then start it and pass into the menu of settings. Usually for this purpose it is required to open the corresponding tab. In the appeared menu select the Additional tab. Now click "Configure", located in the Connection point.
4. Select a checkbox near the Manual Adjustment of Service of a Proxy parameter. Perform tuning of the necessary protocols as it is described in the second step. If you need to get access to certain resources without use of the proxy-server, then enter their addresses in Not Use a Proxy for field. Save settings, having clicked "Ok".
5. To configure the Internet Explorer browser, start it and open a tab "Service". Select the Internet Options item. Open the Connections tab and click "Configure", located in the Setup of Remote Access point.
6. Check near the Use the Proxy Server for This Connection parameter. Enter the necessary address and save settings of the browser.
