For quite some time now the administration of VKontakte toughened process of change of a name, having undertaken excess work. Probably, the name on social network, in fact bears important function.
How to change a name
To change a name, you only need to pass into the section "Edit the Page", the link to which is on an avatar. Here in the Basic tab, you will see the field for change of a name.
After registration within two weeks the name and a surname can be changed independently without check of administration. After this term, conditions become complicated. Now the user has the right to change the name only once a year and before new data appear at you on the page, change will be checked by one of administrators of VKontakte.
By rules of social network to approval only real names are accepted. The term during which the answer from administration comes lasts from one day to one week. When your application is considered and accepted, you do not receive any notifications. But on the page your new name will appear.
If your name and a surname rare, then the administrator can make a mistake and reject the application. In that case you should write the letter to administration, confirming your data with the electronic copy of the passport.
But that there were no similar problems, at registration enter the real name and a real name.
Maiden name
Under data entry fields of a name and surname in the section "Edit the Page" there is a line "Maiden name". Information does not undergo moderation at administrators in this field therefore you can write here anything, changing information several times.
However, if you abuse this opportunity, then, most likely, your page will be "frozen" because of hyperactivity.
Page name
VKontakte exists function of change of a name of the page or so-called id (ayda). It not just beautiful name, but the link to your page according to which any user of social network will be able to find you at once.
To change "ayd", you need to pass into the section "My Settings". In the first tab, having scrolled a little down, you will find the Page Address field. Enter a name which you want to use as the link: it should consist of Latin letters and the Arab digits. If the name selected by you is already engaged by other user, then VKontakte in the automatic mode to you will report about it and will suggest to select something else.
The page address name, in difference from your name which is indicated on the page, but not in a browser line, is not checked by the moderator and changes after clicking of the Save Changes button.
