Execution of a problem of cleaning of the hosts file in the Microsoft Windows operating system it can be carried out by several methods, depending on experience of the user, but each of them means implementation of the necessary procedure on behalf of the computer administrator.

Instruction
1. Click "Start-up" for a call of the main menu of a system and pass into the My Computer point for performing operation of cleaning of the hosts file.
2. Open the C:\Windows\system32\drivers'etc folder and open a context menu of the hosts file by click of the right mouse button (for WIindows XP).
3. Specify the Open with the Help point and select "Notepad" in the opened list of programs (for Windows XP).
4. Clean contents of the file and complete operation of application (for Windows XP).
5. Open a root folder of C:\Windows and find the notepad application (for Windows Vista and Windows 7).
6. Open a context menu of the found application by click of the right mouse button and specify the Start on behalf of the Administrator command (for Windows Vista and Windows 7).
7. Specify C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc path to the Open the File menu of the notepad program and enter hosts value in the test line "File" (for Windows Vista and Windows 7).
8. Click "Open" and clean contents of the selected file (for Windows Vista and Windows 7).
9. Cause the avz context menu of the application click of the right mouse button and specify the Start on behalf of the Administrator point for execution of an alternative method of cleaning of the hosts file.
10. Open the File menu in a top panel of tools of a window of the program and pass into the System recovery point.
11. Specify the Execute Noted Operations command and carry out reset of the computer for application of the selected changes.
12. Use the HijackThis program for the next method of cleaning of the hosts file and start it on behalf of the Administrator, I use the algorithm of actions described above.
13. Open Main Menu in a top panel of tools of an application window and pass into the Open the Misc tools section point.
14. Choose the Open hosts file manager command and clean contents of the opened file.
15. Reboot for application of the selected changes.
