When choosing random access memory for the computer or the laptop it is necessary to consider three key parameters: memory module type, its volume and clock speed of work. Unfortunately, many do not pay attention to the third point that leads to decline in production of the PC.

Instruction
1. At installation of several memory modules with a different frequency they work with those characteristics which are possessed by the weakest of them. I.e. one level with a frequency of 600 MHz can reduce performance of three modules capable to work with frequency of 800 MHz at once. Download and install the Everest program.
2. Start this utility and wait for completion of collecting data on the devices installed in your computer. After program load open the Motherboard menu and select the SPD submenu. In the graph "Description of the Device" the list of the connected modules of random access memory will be displayed.
3. Click in turn the name of each level and look at the indicators located in the graph "Memory Speed". Compare the received results.
4. If you want to use the free program and to receive more detailed description of memory modules, download the Speccy program from the website www.piriform.com. Select the necessary version the utility intended for your operating system. Install Speccy and start this program.
5. Open the Random access memory menu. In the graph "Memory" indicators with which all installed memory modules work at present will be displayed. Expand the SPD submenu and study the indications located in the graphs "Slot 1", "Slot 2" and so on.
6. Compare the received results. Think what of payments should be replaced with more powerful analog. It is sometimes more reasonable to install two identical memory modules. It will allow to increase their performance if the motherboard supports a two-channel operation mode of RAM. If you never use all random access memory capacity, then extraction of the weak module can also increase computer performance.
