Creation of the local area network allowing users of the computer client to carry out Internet connection is one of the most widespread tasks. Setup of a switch, or switching, strictly speaking, is not executed. Rather simple connection of all required wires, and configuration is made on computers of users.
Instruction
1. Open the main menu of the Windows operating system on the computer which already have Internet access by clicking of the Start-up button for performing operation of setup of a switch and configuring a local area network and open the section "Control panel".
2. Expand the Network environment node and select the used connection.
3. Open a context menu of the selected connection by click of the right mouse button and specify the Properties point.
4. Go to In the addition tab of the opened dialog box and apply a checkbox in the field "Allow other net surfers to use connection to the Internet of this computer".
5. Confirm application of the selected changes with clicking of the OK button and return to the main menu "Start-up" for implementation of the procedure of definition of the IP address of the computer host of the created network.
6. Pass into the Execute point and enter cmd value in the Open field for start of the utility of the command interpreter Windows.
7. Confirm execution of the command of start with clicking of the OK button and enter ipconfigv value a text box of the command line.
8. Click a function key of Enter for authorization of command execution and define the necessary address.
9. Click "Start-up" for the call of the main menu of a system of the computer which is subject to inclusion in a local area network and not having Internet access pass into the Control panel point and expand the Network environment node.
10. Find desirable connection and open its context menu by click of the right mouse button.
11. Specify the Properties point and go to the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) tab of the opened dialog box.
12. Specify the saved IP address of the main computer in the Main Gateway and Preferred DNS Server fields and confirm application of the selected changes with clicking of the OK button.
