In the computer networks which work is constructed on the basis of the IP protocol the addressing of final machines is made by means of the numerical values called also the IP addresses. To start net surfing the Internet it is necessary to enable support of the TCP/IP protocol. But, besides, it is necessary to configure ayp the machine address.

Instruction
1. Open the folder of network connections. Click the Start-up button which is in a task bar. In the appeared menu select the Setup point. In the displayed child menu click on the Network Connections point.
2. Find a label of network connection for which it is necessary to configure the IP address. Can be in a window of management of connections several labels corresponding to physical or virtual network devices, modem connections, etc. View their descriptions. Select the necessary label, having clicked it with the left mouse button.
3. Open a dialog of setup of properties of the selected network connection. For this purpose click it with the right mouse button. The context menu will open. In the menu select the Properties item.
4. Open a dialog of setup of parameters of the TCP/IP protocol. For this purpose in a dialog of properties of connection in The Components Used by This Connection list click the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) point. After that click "Properties" which is below the list. The dialog "Properties will be displayed: Internet protocol (TCP/IP)".
5. Configure the IP address. Left-click "IP address" for transfer of input focus in it across the field. Consistently enter IP address components. Each component represents number from range 0-255 in a decimal system. Each component of the address separates from others not deleted point. The translation of input focus for implementation of editing the next component of the address can be executed both by means of click by a mouse, and by means of the keyboard, using cursor keys. Record the made changes, having clicked "OK" in two last open dialogs.
