Almost each person has Internet connection in the house. It is possible to configure this connection on your personal computer independently, without the assistance of the professional programmer and the engineer.
Instruction
1. For a start it is worth being defined what way of connection to the Internet you will select. It is possible to connect the personal computer to a world wide web by means of high-speed connection through a dedicated line. It is the most optimal variant now.
2. If you in the house have an access point of a dedicated line, then sign the contract with the supplier of service the Internet.
3. Connect the network interface card to the motherboard of your personal computer. Download and install the updated drivers for it. Execute reset of the operating system that all updates became effective.
4. Connect a fiber-optic cable to the network interface card. Come into "Control panel" - "Network connections" and select item allowing to configure high-speed connection on your computer. Enter the login and the password which are specified in your contract with the Internet supplier. Click "OK" and you can be connected to the Internet.
5. It is also possible to connect high-speed connection on your personal computer by means of a telephone line. If your telecom operator possesses servers of high-speed connection, then sign with it the additional contract for services of the Internet.
6. Buy the modem, a splitter and necessary metric area of a fiber-optic cable. Connect a splitter to a telephone line. Also connect the home phone number and a cable which will be connected to the computer to it. Lay a cable so that to avoid its mechanical damages. Further, as it is described in a step 4, configure connection with the Internet.
7. It is possible to enable Internet connection on your computer by means of the USB modem which mobile operators provide, for example, Megafon, MTS and Beeline. Buy the USB modem and a sim card with a special rate. Insert the modem into the USB port of your PC. The necessary software will be automatically installed. On a desktop the label with this type of connection will appear. Click this label and click "Be connected".
