Did you sign the contract for provision of services with one of Internet service providers, but for any reason the master did not configure itself connection? Or you reinstalled the operating system, and all your ready configured network connections were removed and it is necessary to create new? It is not difficult to configure the newest network connection at all. The main thing is to have active connection to the Internet through a high-speed cable or other source of communication. Process of creation of connection on all OS is approximately identical, let's sort an algorithm on the example of the Windows XP system.
Instruction
1. First of all, open "Control panel" (through the Start menu or via "My computer").
2. Select the Network Connections icon in "Control panel". Open them.
3. Now find or the group "LAN" or "High-speed Connection to the Internet". In the LAN group or "High-speed connection to the Internet" select "Connections on a local area network". Right-click on this icon and in the dropped-out menu select "Properties".
4. The dialog box of the Connection on a Local Area Network point - "Property" should appear. Find The Components Used by This Connection list in this dialog box. In this list remove a tick opposite to the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) point. After that click "OK".
5. Find the Master group in the Network Connections folder. In the Master group select "The master of network connections", run him by double clicking. Click a button "Further".
6. In the appeared dialog box select the Connect to the Internet item. Again click "Further".
7. In the following dialog box select the Establish Connection Manually item. Click "Further".
8. In the following dialog box select the Through the High-speed Connection Requesting a User Name and the Password item, click "Further".
9. Now in the appeared dialog box in the white field enter a name of service provider. Click "Further".
10. In the following dialog box there are several free fields. In the User name field enter a user name, and in the field "Password" - the password which the provider had to provide you. The password needs to be entered twice – once again in the field "Confirmation". Click "Further".
11. In the appeared dialog box click "Connection". If all operations were done correctly, then in the lower right corner there will be a message on a white background that connection is active.
