The E72 Nokia smartphone is equipped with the alphabetic keyboard therefore for work on the Internet it is adapted better, than for a voice communication. For its successful connection to a wide area network it is necessary to configure access point (APN) correctly.
Instruction
1. The E72 Nokia smartphone has sufficient processing power for viewing online videos, listening of Internet radio stations. To have an opportunity to fully use these functions, connect service of unlimited Internet access at the operator. Then, being in a home network, instead of payment of each megabyte of the accepted and transferred data you will be able to enter the easy fixed monthly board. The operator will have the right to artificially reduce data exchange rate at considerable intensity of use service, but it will not affect a license fee in any way. Remember that in a roumniga the service of unlimited access will not affect the price of the Internet in any way.
2. Open a menu item of "Means" - "Setup" - "Connection" - "Access point". Perhaps, phone firmware, having found the SIM card, automatically created three points: "(Name of the operator) GPRS Internet", "(Name of the operator) GPRS-WAP" and "(Name of the operator) MMS". Delete a point for WAP, having keyed on the alphabetic keyboard with the crossed-out left arrow (Backspace analog), and then having confirmed the choice with clicking of the central button of the joystick.
3. Select access point "(The name of the operator) the GPRS Internet" then check whether the APN field is correctly filled. The line of the text in this field should begin with the word internet (from a small letter), but by no means - not wap.
4. If automatically created access points are absent, open the menu item specified in a step 2, create a new point then fill fields as follows: for MTS - APN internet.mts.ru, the login mts, the password mts, for Beeline - APN internet.beeline.ru, the login beeline, the password beeline, for MegaFon - internet access point, the login gdata, the password gdata.
5. Start the built-in browser of phone. For this purpose, being on the main Symbian screen, hold clicked a key with zero, the program will not be started yet. Click the left key, select a menu item "Parameters" - "General", and then check the maintenance of the Access point field. In it should be or the name of the point created by you, or a word Internet.
6. Disconnect and again turn on phone. Try to go on-line by means of the built-in browser. Also check whether applications are capable to go on-line now. In attempt of gaining access to a wide area network from Java application the virtual machine will give you an opportunity to select a point manually. Select that from them which bears a name "(The name of the operator) the GPRS Internet". In Symbian-applications install access point manually through the menu. The arrangement in it the corresponding point depends on the program.
