Connection to the Internet can be carried out in different ways: for example, through ADSL connection, wireless access, Wi-fi network or a city telephone line. Whatever of them you selected, the provider should provide all settings. Otherwise it is possible to make everything and independently.
Instruction
1. If you assume to use the ADSL modem, pay attention that they are several types. Those from them that connect to the computer by means of an USB cable, require installations of special drivers (as a rule, they go in a set) and connections of the modem to a telephone network. Further create new connection to the Internet: select the Start menu, then "Control panel", "Network connections" and, at last, "Connection creation". Now click on the column "Connect to the Internet", then "Through High-speed Connection". Specify the name of the established connection and also the login with the password received from provider in the appeared window. Save changes.
2. Before use of the normal ADSL modem at first connect it to a telephone network, and then to the computer by means of a cable. In this case installation of drivers is also required. To establish connection, start the corresponding label on a desktop. It is necessary to mention also other way to set up such modem which is carried out by means of connection of the Patch Cord cable. However this way is more difficult and requires already professional skills. And the possibility of its carrying out depends on the acquired modem model.
3. If you selected the Internet through a dedicated line, then just connect the cable delivered by provider to your computer. After that the network interface card should receive automatic adjustments, and then you will be able to connect to the web. However in certain cases it can be necessary manually to specify the IP address. For this purpose click the Start menu, then "Control panel". Click on the column "Network Connections", "Connection on a Local Area Network". Select "Properties" and "Internet protocol". Now you can enter that IP address which was provided by provider.
4. Setup of Internet connection when using the mobile 3G-modem can be necessary. Connect the modem to the computer, install the software and drivers. They go complete with the modem. Setup will happen after that in the automatic mode.
