Connection to the Internet through a stationary telephone line is carried out by means of special DSL modems. Setup of operation parameters of these devices completely depends on the provider selected by you.

- - DSL modem;
- - Splitter.
Instruction
1. If you already signed the contract with the Megaline company, start setup of your Internet access. Connect the DSL modem to a telephone line. Use for this purpose a splitter – the device distributing a signal between the modem and phone.
2. Connect the computer to the DSL modem, using the normal network cable. For implementation of this communication at the modem there is a LAN port. Turn on the modem and the computer. Wait until the operating system completely is loaded. Install the Conexant AceessRunner program. It should be present on disk supplied together with the DSL modem.
3. Start this utility and pass to the Protocol Setup tab. Find the VPI field and enter into it digit 0. Fill the VCI field with number 40. Click "Apply" and close the program.
4. Click a label of connection to the Internet of AccessRunner DSL. Enter the word megaline in the User Name and Password fields. It is necessary for implementation of guest connection. Click "Be connected" or "Call".
5. Open the http://cabinet.megaline.kz page. Register on the website. Surely remember new values of the login and password. Again start a label of connection with the Internet and enter the data specified at registration on the website.
6. If you did not find the Conexant AceessRunner program, then open settings of the modem, having entered its initial IP address into a line of the browser. Pass into the WAN Setup menu (DSL Setting) and set the necessary values of the VPI and VCI parameters.
7. Create new connection to the Internet, having selected the Setup of Telephone Connection item. Fill out the offered menu, having specified the required values of a user name and the password. Open a label of the created connection and click "Connection".
