- - network cables.
Instruction
1. Buy the DSL modem with several ports Ethernet. It will allow you to connect the necessary number of computers to the device. Install the router in the right place and connect to it a cable of a telephone line. For this purpose use the DSL channel located on the router case.
2. Connect the device to the alternating current main. Connect desktop or mobile computers to its Ethernet ports. In this case it is necessary to use in advance prepared network cables. Turn on the router and computers. Start the web browser and open the web menu of settings of the router. For this purpose enter into the url-field the address 192.168.1.1 (192.168.0.1).
3. Open the WAN or Internet Setup menu (depends on firm vendor of the router). Specify the PPPoE parameter in the graph Connection Type. Set VPI and VCI 1 and 50 values respectively. Fill the Username and Password fields. You had to obtain necessary data from specialists of provider at connection. Activate the Use DNS and DHCP points, having set for them the Yes or Enable parameter.
4. It is possible to leave other parameters without change. Surely include the NAT mode if it is necessary. Save settings of the router and reboot the device. For this purpose it is possible to press a certain button in the menu of settings or just to disconnect it from the alternating current main for 30 seconds.
5. Specify the Receive the IP Address Automatically parameter in settings of network adapters of computers. If the router does not support the DHCP function or you want to use the static IP addresses, then enter their values. It is better to use the addresses matching the first three segments internal the IP router. This information can be obtained in the Status web device interface menu.
