1. For a start it is necessary to select the router. If you are going to connect two computers, but not laptops, then to you will be the router quite enough with 3-4 LAN ports (less just does not happen) and lack of a possibility of creation of Wi-fi of access point.
2. Configure access point in the Internet in the router. As you understand, because of a big model range of these devices, it is impossible to write the exact instruction for setup of the router. But there are highlights and points which should be considered at setup of this equipment.
- The login and the password should match your standard connection.
- The type of data transmission should be similar to that which is used by provider.
- Surely set the difficult password for access to the router.
- Install the static or dynamic IP address on the router, depending on requirements of provider.
3. Connect a cable of the Internet to the WAN port on the router. Connect all other computers in free LAN ports on the router by means of network cables.
4. If your router supports only one direct connection with the computer via the network cable, get Wi-Fi the adapter for the computer. Install for it drivers and the software then be connected to the router on Wi-Fi wireless communication link.
