Many users, having at the disposal of several computers, wish to integrate them in a local area network. Naturally, the purpose of creation of such network comes down to setup of Internet access for all above-stated PCs.
It is required to you
- - network hub (switch);
- - network cables;
- - network interface card.
Instruction
1. If you on hand have a switch (network hub), then for creation of full-fledged network with Internet access you will need one more network interface card. I.e. it is necessary to have four network adapters for three PCs. Buy the network interface card.
2. Connect this device to that computer to which you will connect a cable of provider. Carry out this connection.
3. Configure for this computer access in the Internet in the usual way. For this purpose you can use any of the installed network adapters. Connect one end of the twisted pair cable (network cable) to other network interface card.
4. Connect other its end to any LAN (Ethernet) port of the network hub. To the same device, using similar method, connect two other computers. The local area network is ready to use. Now configure Internet access.
5. Open parameters of the network adapter which is connected to the network hub, on the first computers. Pass to setup of the TCP/IP protocol. Enter IP addresses value for this network adapter, equal 213.213.213.1. Save settings.
6. Turn on any other computer. Pass to settings of the TCP/IP protocol. Considering value of the address of the first computer, fill out this menu with the following digits:
- IP address 213.213.213.2.
- Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
- DNS servers 213.213.213.1
- Main gateway 213.213.213.1.
Save change of parameters of this menu.
7. Turn on the third computer. Make setup of its network adapter to similarly previous point. Replace the last digit of the IP address.
8. Pass to the first computer. Open settings connection with the Internet and include it again.
