Long ago it is known that for 90% of computers in the world any operating system from the Windows family therefore it is possible to come up against a situation when some devices do not work at other platforms (is installed due to the lack of drivers). As a rule, issue of the necessary drivers can be expected for years, and the problem remains unresolved.

- - USB modem.
Instruction
1. If you came up against a situation when it is necessary to make connection to the Internet by means of the USB modem in the Mac OS X system, and there are no corresponding drivers in a set, organize interface to virtually started Windows system. For this purpose connect the modem to the computer on which Mac OS is installed.
2. Start the Parallels Desktop application, now you need to configure it therefore the virtual machine should not be started. Click the top menu and select the Setup item, then an element "Network". Specify values of "the initial and final addresses" in settings of "Vnutricomputerny network" - 192.168.0. After a point in "initial" it is necessary to put 128, and in final - 254.
3. Then pass to "System settings", select item "Network". Having selected the adapter, specify identical values for "Router" and "DNS server" - 192.168.0.1. In settings of the virtual machine open the section "Equipment" and select the Network adapter item. Select the General Network item.
4. Under the list of devices there are 2 buttons - ""+" and "" -"". Click ""+" to create the copy of the selected element. Specify connection type in settings - "By Vnutricomputernaya network" and click OK.
5. Now you need to start the virtual machine and the operating system of the Windows family. In it you should install the modem, having created Internet connection. For this purpose it is possible to use "The master of connection" who will appear at once after start of a system.
6. If in a set the disk was applied to the modem, start it and install drivers. After connection establishment note that all net surfers can use the Internet, thus you receive connection to the Internet on Mac OS. Pay attention that at switching off of the virtual device the connection will not be available.
