For implementation of synchronous Internet access from two computers there are several different solutions. Not to spend a lot of money for purchase of the router, recommend to configure one of computers as the server.
It is required to you
- - network interface card;
- - network cable.
Instruction
1. Select the personal computer which will play a router role in future local area network. Recommend to use more powerful computer for this purpose. Consider also that it should not be strongly loaded.
2. If in the selected personal computer there is only one network interface card, then buy the second network adapter, connect it and install for it drivers. Connect the second network interface card to other computer.
3. Open a Network and Sharing Center. Find the network adapter connected to the second computer and open its properties. Select the Internet Protocol of TCP/IP point. Click "Properties".
4. Set to this network adapter the constant (static) IP address with value 213.213.213.1. Save settings.
5. Pass to the second computer. Open similar point of settings of the network adapter. Change parameters of this menu for providing to this computer of Internet access as follows: - 213.213.213.2 – the IP address
- Standard subnet mask
- 213.213.213.1 – the Main gateway
- 213.213.213.1 – the Preferred and alternative DNS servers.
6. Return to settings of the first computer. Create new connection to the Internet. Configure it and make sure of its working capacity. Open properties of the created connection. Pass into the Access menu. Allow use of this connection to the Internet to other devices of a local area network. Specify the network formed by your computers.
