1. Before being connected to network, find out whether there is in your laptop a built-in WiFi-adapter. In the majority of modern computers such adapters are, and in them it is not necessary to configure anything in addition for connection.
2. Your laptop will automatically find operation points of access and to suggest to be connected to them – free of charge if a point public, or with the requirement of the password and fee of network. If you have an old laptop which is not equipped with the adapter of a wireless network, install the external WiFi-adapter through USB.
3. Being in a zone of access of network, watch the indicator of the status of the adapter. If it shines red, so you have no access to network. If in the lower part of the monitor you see the green screen – means, the laptop executed connection, and you can use network.
4. When the network is not, and you see the red indicator, it is required to check connection settings. Right-click on an icon of connection and open its properties.
5. In the section "Status of a Wireless Network" open the Status tab and click "Scanning" manually to scan connection and to find network. If the network is found such path, check the signal level and look for that place where a signal the strongest in access point.
6. Also in the section "Properties of Network" at you the lines "Receive the IP Address Automatically" and "Receive the DNS Addresses Automatically" should be selected.
7. As soon as connection is executed, and the laptop will be connected to network, open the browser and try to come to any website. Check with what speed the network works.
8. Usually modern laptops automatically determine the identifier of network in access point, and you do not need to look for network specially. It will be automatically determined, and you will be able to use all conveniences of WiFi-network.
