At installation of drivers for the net board, network connection is created automatically. If it was enabled incorrectly, or it is necessary to create network connection in addition, for example, for the Internet or connection to other computer directly, it is possible to make it manually.
Instruction
1. For this purpose it is necessary to log into the operating system. If it is the operating system from the Windows family, you come into the Start menu, further you select the Control panel item if it is absent, we select at first "Setup", and then "Control panel". If it is absent too, then it is possible to come into "My computer" by means of a label, on the right on the panel of system tasks to click "Control panel".
2. Further come into "Network connections" and on the right click "Creation of network connection" panels of network tasks. The master of new connections will open. Here you select that item which is necessary for you. For example, for creation of connection to the Internet you select the Connect to the Internet item, you click "Further", you select the Establish Connection Manually item, further you select type of your connection.
3. After that it is necessary to make settings of network connection. If it is the Internet connection, then it is necessary to enter a user name and the password. For connection on a local area network it is necessary to register the minimum network parameters. For this purpose come into the created network connection, select the Internet Protocol (TCP\IP) item, click "Properties", you select the Use the Following IP Address item, enter your parameters, for example the IP address: 192.168.0.1, subnet mask: 255.255.0.0, main gateway: 192.168.0.2, enter the preferred DNS below if necessary.
4. For the Linux operating system you come "System", then you select "Administration", then "Network Settings".
5. In the Mac OS operating system the network connection is created also as well as in Windows in the control panel.
6. Most often for connection to network to create network connection there is no need. It is created at turning on of the network interface card and installation of drivers. You will need to enter necessary parameters.
