To create and broadcast own radio station online, there is no need to buy expensive equipment and the software, it is enough to have standard programs which each user has on hand practically. The only thing that will be not superfluous, is a good communication link.

- SHOUTcast Server and SHOUTcast Plug-in – can be downloaded from the website www.shoutcast.com, the Winamp player.
Instruction
1. First of all install SHOUTcast Server. Pass into the folder of this program and open the sc_serv.ini file in the Notepad. Here it is necessary to change three parameters. Assign to the PortBase parameter value 8000 (if this port is borrowed from you, then assign other value), in the MaxUser field specify the maximum number of your listeners, in the field of Password think up and enter the admin password of radio station.
2. Install SHOUTcast Plug-in with standard settings. Start Winamp, in a settings window of the program pass into the section DSP/Effect and select Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP, click Configure active plug-in.
3. In the opened window select the Output tab. Install ticks near "Connect at Startup" and "Automatic Reconnection on Connection Failure". If the server is installed on the current computer, then in the Address field specify "localhost" or "127.0.0.1". Enter also the name and the password from the SHOUTcast Server server. To make radio public press the Yellowpages button, install the Make this server public check mark and enter information on your radio – the name, URL – the address, a genre of the broadcast music, contacts of the DJ, etc.
4. Select the Encoder tab. Here it is necessary to specify parameters of broadcasting of the created radio station, such as bitrate, codec and mono/stereo mode.
5. Select the Input tab. In a drop-down list of Input Device select a broadcasting source. If to select the Winamp item, only music from the player will be transferred, the choice of the Soundcard Input point opens access to the following settings: Open Mixer – includes a system mixer, Push to Talk – transfer to voice air from the microphone. It is also possible to configure the volume level of a background music during the operation of the microphone.
6. Now it is possible to check work of radio station. In an address bar of the browser enter "http://<adres_servera>: <port>". If everything is made truly, the "server SHOUTcast" page will open. For listening of radio through a player it is necessary to add to it the address "http://<adres_servera>: <port>/listen.pls".
