The procedure of creation of the domain controller on the basis of Windows Server of version 2003 is carried out by means of Active Directory and does not assume attraction of the additional software.
Instruction
1. Open the main system menu, having clicked "Start-up", and in a dialog "Execute" redithat. Print dcpromo/adv in the line "Open" and confirm start of the Active Directory Installation Wizard tool, having pressed the OK button. Look through information on compatibility of operating systems in the opened dialog box and press Next.
2. Specify the option "Additional Domain Controller" in the new dialog box "Domain Controller Type" and confirm the choice, having pressed Next. Apply a checkbox in the necessary field of the following dialog box of the master "Copying of data of the domain":
- through network;
- by means of the restored files of archive (It will be required to specify a full path to the saved files of archive by means of the Browse button).
Confirm performing the selected action, having pressed Next.
3. Print data of a name of the account, the password and a name of the domain of the user in the corresponding lines of the next dialog box "Network Credentials" and save the made changes, having pressed Next. Pay attention that the used account shall belong to group of domain administrators.
4. Specify an installation site of the selected databases and their logs in the following dialog box of the master and confirm the choice, having pressed Next. Select desirable arrangement of the Sysvol folder by means of the Browse button in the General Access to a System Volume window and confirm the choice, having pressed Next.
5. Print desirable value of the password for the account of the server administrator in the respective field of The Admin Password for the Recovery Mode dialog box and save the made change, having pressed Next. Make sure of correctness of display of the in-fed information in the final Report window and confirm performing the selected actions, having pressed Next. Reboot a system for application of the made changes.
