How to define load

Data on load of system resources can be important to find out what processes most strongly ""slow down"" operation of the computer. It is possible to determine it by regular means of the operating system or by means of special programs.

Instruction

1. The easiest way of determination of load is its viewing by means of Windows Task manager. To start the Task manager, press and hold at the same time three the buttons on "Del" + keyboard - ""Ctrl" "+ "" Alt"". After opening of the Task manager pass on the High-speed performance tab. The load of a system is displayed in this window by means of different diagrams and digits. In the upper left corner the extent of loading of the CPU, to the left of it - chronology of its loading in the form of the diagram, below - the volume of load of the swap file, more to the left - chronology of its use is displayed. In the bottom of a window there is information on loading of physical memory and also kernel memory.

2. Other way of determination of load is connected with use of programs for diagnostics of a system. One of the best programs such is Everest. Download and install this program on your computer then start it. In the left part of a window of the program all devices and components which state-of-health data can be obtained are located. Click the line ""Motherboard"". To learn load of the CPU, click in the revealed list the line ""CPU"", for obtaining information on load of random access memory click in the same list the line ""Memory"".

3. If you use the computer working running the Windows 7 operating system, then it is also possible to monitor loading of a system directly in real time, using so-called ""gadgets"" of a desktop. To activate the gadget, right-click in any blank space of a desktop and choose the Gadgets command. In the opened window make select the gadget monitoring load of a system and click OK. Now information on loading will be always visible on the screen in the form of the counters reminding a speedometer.
