Many owners of the websites face a problem of prohibition of indexation of resources and their removal from search engines. Usually it occurs because the website becomes outdated and irrelevant, the webmaster or visitors lose to the website interest or the website contains personal and even confidential information.

1. There is a set of ways of removal of the website from search engines.
The first and the simplest of ways of removal of results of requests of PS – removal of the page from the website or full removal of CMS of the website through FTP connection. In several days the search engine will make an update of base and will delete the link to your resource from search results.
2. The most popular way among webmasters to protect the website, its separate sections or pages from indexation and by that to throw out links from search results is an editing the robots.txt file.
It is possible to close the separate page from indexation, having used the code:
User-Agent: *
Disallow: /page.html (closing of the page.html page)
On the Internet there is a set of author's instructions for application of codes for the robots.txt file.
3. The third way to delete pages of the website from search engines is to use the robots meta-tag in its pages. The tag registers in the HTML-code of the hidden pages between tags.
Thus, after reindexation of the website of PS, pages with this meta-tag will drop out of search. The lack of this method is that many modern websites use tpl-templates, and it means that it is necessary to change the code manually to hundreds, and maybe thousands of pages.
4. The fourth way of removal of the websites from search engines – use of the headings X-Robots-Tag. The essence of this heading is similar to use of the previous meta-tag, however record should be located in HTTP headers:
X-Robots-Tag: noindex, nofollow
5. The most effective way of removal of the website (entirely) from search engines is its removal from the webmaster's panel. After an update (3-7 days) the website will be unavailable to the search engine. The panel of the webmaster is available for searchers of Yandex (http://webmaster.yandex.ru/delurl.xml) and Google (http://webmaster.yandex.ru/delurl.xml).
