1. In such cases you can use special programs for search of a remote server. For example, download and install "MasterServers" to yourself on the computer. This patch finds the servers necessary for a game, in particular and for Counter-Strike. Enter the received MasterServers.vdf file in the folder where game components are stored. For example, path to the file can look here so: "C:GamesCounter-Strike 1.6platformconfigMasterServers.vdf". On MasterServers.vdf right-click. The window where find the section "Properties" will open. Click it a mouse. Further again the window where select the Attributes item will open. In that field where only reading is written "", check. Everything is ready, and now servers will be found.
2. The similar program is also for search of servers for other games, such as Half-Life. "CS Scanner" at start performs the full procedure of search. For this purpose there are special buttons "Scanners" and "Monitoring". The found information will be placed by the list. Come into the Setup point and set the necessary parameters of the program. Besides, you can from the CS Scanner program directly start games necessary to you and play them.
