1. Need to learn the IP address of an Internet resource or the specific computer arises not so often, usually in case of suspicion on fraud or at identification on the computer of suspicious connections. Definition of IP requires no additional programs, all necessary software is as a part of the operating system or on specialized services in network.
2. If you have to determine the Internet resource IP address by its domain name, you can go two paths. In the first case it is enough to visit the http://url-sub.ru/tools/web/hostip/ service, to enter a name of the website and to click "Learn". In the appeared line you will see IP of the resource interesting you.
3. The second option is connected with use of the ping command. For example, you want to learn the IP address of Yandex. Open the console: "Start-up" — "All programs" — "Standard" — "Command line". Enter: ping www.yandex.ru also click Enter. In the first appeared line, in square brackets, you will see the IP address of Yandex.
4. Sometimes there is a need to check ip of the sender of the letter. For this purpose visit your mail service, open the letter. Then find additional options on the page and look for function of viewing heading of the letter. For example, in "Rambler" for this purpose it is necessary to open the Other Actions menu and to select the Letter Headings item. In heading you will be able to learn not only the IP address from which the letter, but also compliance of the real postal address to stated was sent.
