How to find the server in network

It is possible to find the server in network in two ways: by means of the ipconfig utility which is built in a system displaying key parameters of network and also manually. Select the most suitable way for you.

Instruction

1. Start the built-in ipconfig utility. For this purpose open the main menu of your operating system and select the Execute item. In the Open field specify cmd value and confirm with the OK button start of the Command line tool. Enter ipconfig/all value into a line of the command interpreter and a command pressing Enter.

2. Use the following syntax of a command to determine necessary parameters: - / all - to display all configuration settings of TCP/IP; - / release - to disconnect the TCP/IP protocol; - / renew - to update values of a configuration; - / dispalydns - to display DNS cache; - / flushdns - to delete DNS cache; - / showclassid - vyest the class DHCP; - / setclassid - to install the class DHCP. - / registerdns - to register DNS names and the addresses IP in the manual mode.

3. Return to the Start menu and try to execute definition of the server in the manual mode if for this purpose open the All Programs folder. Select "Standard" and start "Conductor". Find the file under the name l2ini (or l2a.ini and l2ex.ini) which is located in the system folder and open it via the Notepad application.

4. Register a line which contains the server IP address with ServerAddr value = or use the free application of l2encdec.exe available for downloading on the Internet and allowing to execute operation of decoding of the necessary file. Enter in the line "Object" value - s l2.ini and confirm the OK buttons selected changes by clicking. Open the edited label and in the line ServerAddr = define the address of the necessary server.

5. Try to find a game server in network if you had a similar need. For example, for search of the Counter-Strike 1.6 servers use a special game patch, having downloaded and having started the MasterServers.vdf file. Similar operation can be done also with other network games.
