1. To fix a banner on the website, at first receive its (banner) the existing HTML-code. If the banner is provided by the system of banner exchange or you received it by means of services of contextual advertizing, you need to come into the account of the relevant service to generate the necessary code.
2. A normal banner call the image displayed on pages of the website. The approximate code for it will look as follows:

3. Enter on the Internet resource in the mode of its administration, then select the place where you wish to place a banner in a template. Consider its sizes as too wide banner can stretch other elements of your website, and it will lead to the fact that they will be inconvenient to use. And hardly it will beautifully look.
4. CRT of a banner which is located in website "cap", above, than at what is somewhere sideways. However do not forget about relevance: if your website of computer subject, and in his cap flaunts the advertizing which is not connected with computers, it will push away a part of users.
5. Come into the panel of management of CMS and select the section under the name "Editing Templates". Open that which is necessary to you. You can arrive in a different way – to load on a FTP template or its some parts on the hard drive of your computer and there to open it by means of the text editor.
6. Insert the code of a banner into the selected place. If for it you selected the side menu, it will be necessary to copy a menu element container marking. Then insert the HTML-code of a banner. An element container, as a rule, is L1 list element.
7. Having made necessary changes, save the updated template for what it is necessary just to click a button in the control panel of your website "Update the file". If you edited a template on the hard drive of the computer, save it and then on FTP upload to your site. Do not forget to make sure that the banner is where it was planned. Also pay attention to how its arrangement changes at tenkh or other changes of the sizes of a window of the browser.
